Nexus 4 Touch Panel Replacement Issues

Hi,

I recently dropped my Nexus 4 and the front glass of my phone is broken. The actual display doesn't show any signs of damage and it's only the touchpanel (digitizer?) that's damaged. After looking through a lot of videos online, I realized it is possible to replace only the touchpanel while using the existing display itself.

So I ordered a touchpanel online from Amazon and received it a couple of days back. I have disassembled the phone successfully and even carefully removed the broken touchpanel from the display. The dissplay boots up fine, but the moment I connect the new touch panel, the screen goes completely white. I have rechecked all the connections and everything seems ok to me, but still unable to figure where the problem lies.

Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong or the new touchpanel I ordered is defective? Any troubleshooting techniques to identify where the problem lies?

Thanks

It seems you have broken the LCD screen by heavy pressure or overheat when replace the touch panel.
