iPhone 5 Display Assembly Guide or Front Panel Guide?

Hi to all. I need help with more explanation since english is not my first language.

My problem is a broken screen. I can still use the iphone perfectly and everything works fine, i just have a cracked glass. Isnt there a way of only replacing the broken glass? If not, which guide should I follow and which replacement parts should I buy?

My confussion appears because there is a "Display Assembly Replacement" guide and the "Front Panel Replacement" guide, and i dont know which should i follow, if any of these two.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Johnetix!

Unfortunately the iPhone 5 glass is fused to the LCD, so you can't replace the glass alone.

Our Display Assembly guide is the easier guide, but has a more expensive part. The display assembly includes the home button assembly, front camera assembly, earpiece speaker, and the LCD shield plate in addition to the LCD, glass and digitizer.

The front panel is stripped of all extra parts, and is only the glass/LCD/digitizer, so this is probably the guide you want to follow! Best of luck!
