PCIe SSD hold down screw size?

Hi!

I'm planning to add a SSD in PCIe slot on my iMac Late 2013 using your instructions.

Everything seems to be bought, I'm almost ready to start except one thing - I don't know the size of a screw which holds the SSD on mother board and I don't know if it exists (I mean - if it exists while there is no SSD in my config)?

Here's a picture SSD hold down screw

What's the length and diameter of this screw? Can I use a drop of silicone sealant instead of a screw?

Would you mind to tell which model have you used ?

Thanks,

Chosen Solution

That appears to be a T5.

This "chosen solution" is not a solution at all. It is actually incorrect. According to these two how to videos, it is a T8 screw, that I am still trying to find myself!

You are correct it is showing as a T8 which I have never seen as a blade hold down screw.
