MBP 13 Hinge question

Hello,

Got my wife a 13 MBP for Christmas. Got tired of cleaning/reformatting MS XP. It's great. I mean REALLY GREAT. Gonna get myself one when I save up the $$$. Only problem is the hinge has become loose. Not to the point of a falling/self closing display, but loose. Or more like it has a 'loose spot' or 'catch in the travel. I'm afraid this may lead to the hing coming completely loose and wearing on the screws or whatever mechanism is loose to the point of damaging it. Question, should I attempt the repair or take it back to the Apple store and let them repair it? I've disassembled a few laptops but did so with hesitation and don't want to mess this thing up.

Thanks for replies.

Return it to APPLE

and if you haven't yet get the 3yr extended AppleCare. Why risk blowing your shot at warranty coverage? Looks like this may turn out to be "known issue"/design flaw on these hinges.

If this answer was acceptable please return and mark it.

Good Luck,

N.
