Cannot Power On Mac Mini

The Mac Mini shut down itself during sleep one hour after I add a new USB3 hub to it. I have to unplug cable before I can restart it. (I didn't know it is called SMC reset then). It happened again within an hour, before it cannot revived after it shut off the 3rd time overnight. I can no longer power it on. Can this new hub kill the Mac? I don't want to believe it but they just happened the same time. What can I do next?
