S4 makes "burning noise" when turning on

Hi,

I recently repaired an S4 by replacing the screen/midframe. I noticed it makes a strange noise kind of like something is burning, on some occassions it does go to the samsung logo then boots back up, so it's like there's a short somewhere. it sounds like it's coming from the charging port but I can't think why.

Now, there's quite a few issues already with the phone. the sim card reader does not work, the volume up button does not work, the wifi and bluetooth does not work and the phone does have warranty until next year.

here's a video of the noise:

is it possible I could replace this under warranty? I know I have replaced parts but Apple usually will replace the phone if there is still a fault on their end

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

It sounds like your external speaker connection is shorting out. Try disconnecting it, reconnecting and see if it still makes the noise.

okay I noticed the sound happens when trying to make a noise from the external speaker (if you mean the one that attaches to the mid frame) I played a sound and the noise occurs and I pause and it will stop, not sure if it's a coincidence. I also know when the speaker is removed the noise still happens as when I tried another screen and turned it on to test I heard the same noise, the only thing I've replaced in that area is the charging port.
