no boot device found

Hi, guess I have played too much with the Mac Mini. Controller for sound broke bought and installed a new one but this did not fix. Simply no boot device can be found any more. Any ideas.

Check all cable connections

Check/swap ribbon cable, if no joy you damaged your logic board

Try starting up from your optical drive with the system installation disk by inserting the disk and restarting holding down the "C" key. On the second page of the installation disk go to the pull down menu, Utilities, Disk Utility and see if it sees the hard drive. If so run Repair. If not check your cables. If the cables are OK, replace the drive.
