My MacBook is not reading CD/DVDs

I was in a dusty place for a long time, and although I tried to protect my MacBook, sure some dust got in the CD/DVD drive. It accepts CD/DVDs but after 30 secs rejects them. A dirty lens I assume, but how do I clean it? Do I need to take it apart? Thanks! Estrella

Go to a Radio Shack if there is one where you live--if not a electronics store. You need a cd cleaning disk. With the disk you apply a small amount of cleaning fluid to the disk and insert it in the drive. As it spins it cleans the head. You could also try using a long q-tip and ELECTRONIC cleaning fluid to reach in and clean the read head of the drive. Good luck. Ralph
