Display not working after Digitizer replacement

Okay guys so my phone got slightly water damaged and the screen turned greenish/blackish with fuzzy lines everywhere so you couldn't use the phone whatsoever. After doing pretty extensive research about the subject I decided to purchase a LCD/Digitizer replacement kit and do the repair myself because that's what I did for my iPhone 5 a while back. After the repair everything seemed to be in order, however, when I power on the phone it vibrates once but the screen stays black.

Any advice on to what the problem may be?

Options

1. Make sure the new LCD screen you bought is well.(you can try it on other S4)

2. Make sure you plug the connector very well when do the replacement.

3. Check the connector on motherboard to see if it's water damaged.
