Power Adapter Magsafe 2 85W

Hello, Sorry for my poor English. Hopefully i provided right model info.

I have an 15'' MacBook Pro Unibody, i5.

Problem that I'm having is that MagSafe 2 isnt charging it.

It shows no light at all, red/green.

I have tried multiple places to try and charge it while im working, but it only starts to charge when its closed and after about 20 minutes have passed, after that i can use it, etc. and it keeps on charging.

Anyone have any idea whats wrong with it?

Is my charger dead, battery or something in motherboard?

Both connectors look very similar. Here's a good writeup on the differences MagSafe Vs MagSafe 2. Your connector is the older MagSafe

What is the Wattage of the charger? Look where the AC plug slides on (silver button) it's in white print on the white body (it's hard to see).

ahi - You stated you have a MagSafe 2 charger is that correct? This model uses the older 85 Watt MagSafe charger.

The MagSafe 2 chargers are for the MacBook air and newer MacBook Pro retina models which have a smaller form factor power connector.
