Hi,

I have 5s that screen already replaced with the new one, and now the touch id is not working.

----

sorry the operation was not successful touch id

after i restore, touch id menu is gone from Settings.

but, the one thing i know is. when i bought this phone from the previous owner, the lcd has already replaced too not from Apple, but the touch id is working.

so might be there's another way to fix it.

so confusing me because the previous owner of this phone is missing, i cant contact them.

if you haven't already tried, do a soft reset by holding the home button and the power/lock button until the phone turns off.

Nothing to do with original owner or a replacement screen..

Make sure you have seeded the little touch id connector correctly again if it is then you have cause damaged to it when removing from old screen

I mean is,

If the replacement LCD is causes touch id not working, so why the previous owner can use it, whereas he already replace it too.

because i have research, that is because LCD Replacement. my home button working properly, but not with the touch id.

Did you yourself actually see this touch ID work, or did the seller just say it worked?

A new lcd shouldn't effect the touch ID, either the little snap connection is not fully seated, there's some lint/fibers in the connection to stop contacts fully touching. Or the cable has been damaged.
