when turning my phone on the screen froze ina locked state. with no time or any notifications, just my background. it responds to the on off button and camera but only displays the locked home screen. and any of the screens gestures/touch buttons have no effect

Try holding the volume down and power button together until it reboots

I have the same problem.. and I have tried to hard reset, but it still doesn't work? Did you find a solution?
