How to find MacBook Pro Logic Board Part Number

I want to replace my logic board on my macbook pro Model Number A1278, Late 2011.

The board I want to replace has a number EMC 2555. I don´t know what this number is for. How do i find the correct apple part number. Where is and where is the MPN number located. I notice vendors on E-Bay use this number

I have another logic board it is a macbook pro model number a1278, late 2011, but is a EMC No. 2554.

Unfortunately, this board does not allow the display data cable to plug in.

We can give you the correct machine by using your serial number, then give you the correct part number.

Using the EMC number, your machine is one of these two: http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-loo...

Tony Tone, may be "mumbo jumbo" to you. Using the information that was provided you can clearly identify that the logic board number is 820-2936-B and Apple part number is 661-6159 for 2.8GHZ and 661-6158 2.4GHz. Pretty useful mumbo jumbo, don't you think?
