Galaxy S5 replacement LCD screen not working

I recently cracked the screen on the top right corner of my S5. The screen would not turn on and was unresponsive to touch, however the rest of the phone worked fine e.g. notification sounds, start up etc.

After recently replacing the LCD, the screen is now touch responsive, however all I get is a grey display. I can unlock the phone (as I remember the pattern), therefore the touch is working but the the only display I get is a grey static.

Has anyone had the same issue or have any idea what the problem could be?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I broke my phone today and am running into a similar issue, the screen is cracked and non responsive, however it is still making notification sounds ect. What did you do to fix your phone? did you replace only the screen or are there other hardware issues?

Either the LCD screen connector get loosen or the LCD screen replacement is broken one itself.

By screen connector you are referring to the flex cable right? I'm sure that it's connected correctly, it clicks into place. I have taken it out and installed it again several times too.
