Follow the tags at right and you'll see what you're in for (major DIY project). Easier way (still very advanced as you have to completely disassemble and reassemble the entire machine) replace the logic board. (You might even be able to upgrade to the latest processor/graphics package for your model year if you own a base model).

If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.

But the battery was not working and change it with a new one did not work well and are there programs to increase the speed of the Mac

by

There are no software fixes for hardware issues - if the slowness is because you have less than 10GB of empty space on your boot volume, remove large files until you have more than 10GB free.

I've cleaned the mac inside and become better and improved speed, but not like before damage ..The problem now is the battery i see the battery information the Cycle count: 388 and the condition: normal ...!!!

Yes the newer Apple Batteries can last up to 1000 cycles though performance will deteriorate as you reach the end of life.

Ok very similar problem, water spill, local Apple SP wants to replace logic board. Apple Hardware test declares PFM006 error which is a thermal sensor error. What is basically happening is that kernel is stuck starting and stopping computer intermittently to allow it to cool. So it hogs all cpu resources. However computer is not running hot, SMC Fan controller shows 40-41 degrees Celsius.

In researching this I found someone on Apple Support Community who had a similar problem with the his MBP and taking it in to Apple Service (admittedly he hadn't spilled water on it) they replace his top case and this solved the problem. Otherwise this machine works flawlessly except for a pop up that says an USB port is drawing too much current but apparently this too is directly related to the thermal sensor malfunction.

Does anyone on this forum know if doing a similar repair will solve my MBA problem? i.e. replacing top case $100 part as opposed to logicboard $300 part... would solve it? Oerwise machine works flawlessly except for a pop up that says an USB port is drawing too much current but apparently this too is directly related to the thermal sensor malfunction.

Can the thermal sensor itself be changed?

I also have the same issue. It's faulty temp sensor in the trackpad. I just replaced the logic board and realized that it wasn't the board to begin with but the sensor.

I had two other customer laptops with the same exact issue (very slow, fans running high, SMC error in the diagnostics). Apparently the way the liquid spills, it hits the trackpad area.

How can I know whether the faulty temperature sensor is in the trackpad or somewhere else?

AHT error reference codes: PFM006, NDC001, PPN001

MacBook Air 7,2 (early 2015)

Damage occoured while it was in a backpack with a leaky water bottle.

Fan is on max. kernel_task is using around 2-12 % CPU.

I would give this utility a try as its much clearer than AHT on whats happing: TG Pro for less than $20 US its worth it.
