My iPhone 5 shows it's charging but it does not actually charge

I recently replaced the battery on my iPhone 5. Everything worked great for a few weeks but the other day I noticed that my iPhone wouldn't charge anymore when I plugged it in. Both the computer and the wall outlet recognize that the phone is plugged in but the battery never charges. Is this a fault in my new battery or am I having problems with the lightning connector? Any help would be appreciated!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Does it show the lightning symbol---aka fake charging---or does it not indicate that it is charging?

You'll have to replace first the battery and then the dock connector, but there has been an epidemic of iphone 5 's that come down with charging disease after minor repairs---presumably due to some sort of damage to the USB charging power ic, or the USB charging logic ic.

i have seen a new battery and/or new dock connector solve a few of these, so good luck!
