detached power cord from the logic board, how to reattach?

I accidentally detached the power cord from the logic board.

Block Image

it pulled off the logic board instead of coming out of the socket it is in

Does anyone know how i can reattach it to the logic board without getting repaired at a shop?

Do i need to solder it to the logic board? it seems like that would be a bad idea

there are two small metal prongs on the bottom of the socket that seem to fit in to the holes on the logic board

any help would be much appreciated!

If you mean that the socket came loose inside the case, it is not soldered to the logicboard but to the DC-in board instead. It might be possible to solder it back on, otherwise you'll need a new DC-in board. Much less pricey and easier to change than a logicboard.
