Bottom of screen not responding

For example, if I try to pull up from the bottom of the screen and access the control center, it's unresponsive. The bottom half of the bottom row of buttons on the Calculator app are unresponsive. Don't work whatsoever. I have orientation lock on as well and can't turn it off. I think this may be related to a dent in the top right corner of the frame near the rear camera- the screen is partially protruding in that corner as well, leading me to think that the screen connector ribbon may have came loose. Opinions and advice?
