New SSD installed not recognized. Incompatible?

I've just swapped out the original 120GB non-SSD from my A1307 (2009) Air, with a 1.8" Toshiba LIF SSD 128GB.

Any reason why it wouldn't be compatible?

The model is THNSNC128GMLJ by Toshiba. It's 1.8" and has a LIF-type connect.

There's a similar model that I've seen listed on eBay as compatible with the 2nd/3rd generation Airs, but it's model number is slightly different: THNSNB128GMLJ (the difference being a B in the model number, instead of a C).

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Could be that the drive is SATA II and you need SATA I - I did a quick Google search and could not find any specifications for this drive… even at the TOSHIBA portal.

Generally SATA drives can drop back one rev and work… if it's more than that you either have to manually jumper them down, or, it's impossible to get them to work.
