I'm having a problem restoring my iPhone 4s. It's currently stuck in recovery mode and there is no way to kick the device out of recovery mode. I have tried tinyumbrella and it has not worked for me. Everytime I try to restore it, it shows the progress bar then it glitches out and fades away. Then, the device reboots and it goes back into recovery mode. Any help?

I have tried that too. Did not work.
Then it is a hardware issue

did you try jail breaking it? and what ios ver was it when it happend?

Well actually it is my friend's iphone but he gave it to me and said if I could fix it then I can keep it. He doesnt know if its jailbroken nor does he know the firmware version it was on. I have a hunch that it is jailbroken and he might have bricked it.
