Do I have a failed logic board?

Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.2 13" (Black-SR) Specs

Identifiers: Late 2007 - MB063LL/B - MacBook3,1 - A1181 - 2200

Hi all,

I have a late 2007 Macbook (Z67) model A1181. I've had problems with the battery charging, magsafe leds, and getting the machine to power on. I've since replaced the battery, magsafe adapter and magsafe/dc-in board. After I replaced these components, the machine didn't immediately work. I was able to get it to boot after jiggling the magsafe connector. This also allowed me to charge the battery. After a shutdown, I can no longer turn the machine on. I've tried reseating the topcase and resetting the SMC to no avail. Based on what I've already replaced do these signs point to a logic board failure? I could see no visible evidence of anything wrong with the board. Thanks!

Press the test button on the battery to see if you have at least a 25% charge. Next test the voltage output of your MagSafe adapter, see the pin out on the right of this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe

Question your source of the magsafe board you installed ( the jiggling bothered me). Finally replace the battery connector: MacBook Core 2 Duo Battery Connector Replacement

Thanks for the input. The battery is at about 75%. I don't have a multimeter but have 2 adapters to test from. I purchased the DC board off of ebay but it did seem new. I'll look into the battery connector.

As of right now, I've got a green light on the magsafe led. Can't power on with topcase. Can't power on via jumping the "power pads" under the fan.

Examine the board for burn marks (use a magnifying glass), swollen or damaged components. That the jumper force start fails indicates to me you have a damaged board.
