I have horrible reception on my new Samsung Galaxy S3. I need to find out if they fixed this problem on the s4. I am sure they don't want to admit there is a problem so..... I watched the videos but couldn't tell where the antenna was on the s4.

Hi,
I'm not sure whether they upgraded the Antenna or not but S4 has much better reception than the S3. It seems they have successfully resolved the issue of dropping calls in their new smartphone.

I'm not sure about the s3 but s4 get about 10dBm more than iphone 5 under the same condition.

I am interested in finding out the same thing before I buy the S4. I have the S2 and loved it but it has the worst data and voice connection because I'm only i a 3G area. My fiance's iPhone (that I dislike) will have 3 or 4 bars on the same Sprint network right beside me in the car and I can't connect at all because it claims "no service." You are right that they will not admit the problem at Sprint or Samsung. If Samsung did not fix it, even though the phone looks awesome, I unfortunately don't think that I will be interested in buying. Hope someone can answer me because I can't believe anything that the sales people say.

We have a cabin in NC mountains with marginal Verizon signal and no other cell services. I got a new S4 and my wife got a new Iphone 5. She got resception on the Iphone5 and I could NOT get reception on the S4. I returned the S4 and will probably get the new Motorola when it comes out soon.
