hdmi port not working after powersurge

I had a recent power surge in my area through my cable, unfortunately my cable wasn't attached to a surge protector, and it deemed all my appliances from my tv's hdmi, cable box hdmi and ps3 hdmi not to work.

I need help? is there a part that i can replace? so to fix this problem?

Chin Chin, have you opened it up to see if there are any burned/charred or missing components on the motherboard? Does your PS3 still work with the component output? Have you tried a set of different cables?

Chin Chin, first thing I would suggest is that you try a set of different cables. If that does not do anything check to see if your PS3 still functions wit the component output. After that it is time to disassemble your PS3 follow this guide. Check your motherboard to see if there are any burned/charred or missing components on the motherboard. Depending on your motherboard there are usually about 5 fuses on the board, labeled as F6001, F6301, F6302, F6303 and F6304. Check those for continuity. After that you really need to get into checking SMD components etc. Worst case scenario you could get a component-to-HDMI converter. Hope this helps, good luck.

You need to replace the logic board. Also, how did your cable cause them to not work?
