Can you swap the displays between MacBook Air 13" to a MacBook Pro 13"

Can you mount the MacBook Air display (13" - 1440x900) on a Macbook Pro (13" - 1280x800)?

p.s: my macbook pro is 8.1

A1369 & A1466 Macbook Air uses DisplayPort.

A1278 Macbook Pro uses LVDS.

These are not even the same protocol!
