Why does my iPhone keep vibrating randomly?

I think my vibrate switch is loose as the iPhone keeps vibrating in my pocket and when I just touch the switch lightly. Unless anyone knows what the cause is.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I just fixed my phone. I noticed the switch was over traveling by about .01 inches and going back into ringer on when it should be in vibrate only. I cut a thin piece of paper and tucked it in the switch slot. This was just enough to prevent the over travel. I cut the paper flush with the outside surface and it stays in place. Works great. Not sure how long paper will last but maybe vinyl or similar would last much longer. Good luck.

Possibly an incoming call.

Thanks guys.

Not under warranty and not the obvious things like a notification for email, TXT or phone call.

It's switch related but what I need to establish is whether it's a faulty switch or faulty connection? I guess I should just take it in for repair! :-)
