Spare part after disassembly. Where does this part go?

Block Image

So I took my phone appart, and put it back together. I've got this little rubber piece left over. Any ideas where it goes, or if it's important? The screws to left of it are the pentalobe screws in the bottom of the phone. I left them there for size comparison. Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Non-essential part. It is the bumper cushion that fits loosely on the top edge of the logic board under the two front screen flex cables. It is a cushion that protects the flex cables as they bend over the logic board. The thinner edge faces towards the rear of the iPhone, so thin edge up as you place the Logic Board back in.

Hi, if you look at the end of the logic board near where the two connectors for the screen are, it slides on the end of the board.I assume its to stop the board damaging those flex's, but i never put it on, and it dont affect anything. If you want to be on the safe side stick it on with a tiny bit of double edge tape or superglue.I would imagine its better on than off
