swapping MacBook hard drive for MacBook Pro hard drive

I have a 2007 mac book pro 15" and it's logic board got water damage and is fried. I recently received a black 2007 mac book and it's hard drive is fried. Is it possible to swap the hard drive from my old mac book pro and put it into the mac book. I was told by apple that the computer is fine, the hard drive is just shot. The only problem I noticed while reading tutorials and watching videos is that the actual hook up of both hard drives seems very different.
