How do I fix my iBook outlet?

I've been having problems with my adapter connecting to my iBook outlet. The color always goes to orange instead of green. If I fiddle with it, it will turn to green but only for a couple seconds. I have replaced the charger and battery but still have this problem. Is it possible that the outlet is loose? Can that be fixed?

It is still orange. The weird thing is when it goes to orange the icon at the top right says it's not connected. Only when it's green it shows the plug icon

Try turning on the computer with the battery removed. The orange indicates the battery is charging and will stay orange until the battery is 100% charged. The light should be green with the battery removed. If that is the case turn off the computer and reinstall the battery. Let it charge until all the lights on the battery are solidly on. What color is the adapter when you reach that point? Ralph

At this point I would suggest you replace the dc in board. I will leave install info now and part info in a minute. Ralph
