Display won't stand at all. Can it be fixed by hinge replacement?

I have a PowerBook G4 who's display will not stand up at all. The screen itself works fine. One of the hinges was broken by something trapped between the screen and the body as it closed. There's a visible dent on the screen's "knuckle" 2-3 inches from the edge.

As I remember, the other hinge worked for a while but couldn't hold the weight and broke after a few months.

Will replacing the hinges be enough to fix display?

Will the dent be a problem?
