What will happen if you hold Fn down while resetting PMU?

In reading the steps one has to follow in order to reset the PMU of an iBook g4 (eg: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1431) you always hit a big warning:

"Do not press the fn (Function) key while using this combination of keystrokes." (which is Shift-Control-Option-Power)

My question is: does anybody know what will happen if you instead press Fn while resetting it? Will it do harm? Has anybody actually tried holding Fn down while resetting the PMU?

Any piece of information will be greatly appreciated as google didn't help this time.

Regards,

m.

Its been so long since I read about it I don't remember all the details but as I remember it modifies the keyboard. And if I remember correctly you have to use fn-delete to undo.I've never tried it myself so I don't know if this info is correct and since I'm not sure of the undo I'm not going to try it. If you should decide to try please remember fn-delete may get you out of it. Ralph

I've been looking too and cannot find the article I remember this from. I'll keep at it and maybe get lucky. Ralph

It shouldn't hurt anything, but it may prevent the computer from resetting the PMU
