I intend using lab view 8.6 and I also learn that lab view works only on windows is there any possibility of establishing a connectivity.i am lakshmanan from india.please guide me

Thank you very much for the wonderful tips,i am more worried about the virus menace in windows and that was the reason why I switched to mac system 5 years ago.I intend asking NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS whether LINUX compatibility is there or not if it does not have is there any possibility of a tool which can migrate to linux.If it is linux will it work on a macbook pro,windows will be my last option kindly guide me please.

After doing more research, it appears that there may be a Mac version of this software. Here are the system requirements, note both Mac and Linux: http://www.ni.com/labview/requirements/
