Just washed my iPod for a full cycle.

Long story short, I washed it with the iPod still in my pocket. Once I took it out and realized that I did that, I thought of the first thing and dropped it into a bag of rice.

24 hours later, it works, but only if it is plugged into my iHome or computer. It shows a full charge when plugged it, but goes dark the second I pull out.

More rice? What should I do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

dennisthemenace900, rice is great for immediate first aid and Garden Risotto, but not to repair your iPod :-) Here is my answer to the same question from a different person "The first step you should do is to disassemble your iPod. Use this guide to help you out. After that clean the iPod thouroughly by following this general guide. use a high grade isopropyl alcohol. Once you are sure the logic board, connectors (do not forget the dock connector), and cables are clean replace the battery. You can get it at places like this. Once all that is accomplished, reevaluate for any residual (if any ) damage. Remember that this model is a PITA to work on but not impossible to fix. Hope this helps good luck.
