Mountain lion o.s compatibility with certain m.s applications

I intend down loading mountain lion ,i already have snow leopard as an operating system which has certain m.s features should i buy a service package for the same,i will be obliged for an answer i am from india

The age of your M$ apps will determine if ML will suppor them. PowerPC apps were dropped in Lion and beyond, so if you were using Office 2004 or older, it will not work. If using 2008 or 2011, make sure they are updated to the newest updates.

FWIW - iWork is compatible with Microsoft Office on a Mac or PC. You can open, save, and email Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files using Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
