Two problems after uppercase replacement

Dear All,

First of all, thanks to Ifixit: I managed to replace my damaged upper (and lower) case saving a lot of money, avoiding to go to Apple.

So first problem, I managed to replace the upper case and to transfer my old keyboard to the new case. The keyboard is working well, but I have a problem with the lights: only the middle part of the keybard has a correct lighting, the other parts, on the right and on the left are lighted but very slightly. If you look behind the caps, youcan see that the light is working everywhere, but with different intensity and I cannot understand why.

Second problem: BT and airport antenna: one of the three antenna's was glued to the damaged case via a metallic plate (below to the cd-drive (replaced by a data doubler)), I had no choice to break it to put the old BT/airport card in the new case, so now one antenna is missing and I don't know how to fix it (by the way Aiport and BT seems to work anyway.

This problems look not a big deal but I intend to sell the MBP in a few months and I want to sell a machin in perfect conditions.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Chris

Hi,

to your first problem: I had exactly the same problem after replacing my keyboard. I´m sure you noticed that the black foil which has to be peeled off before getting access to the keyboard, contains 6 LED´s.

When you reattach the foil make sure that the 6 LED´s fit into the small holes of the transparent foil underneath. You can wipe your fingers over the LED´s on the black foil to check if they are in the right position. If you feel a bump the LED´s are not correct fitted into the holes.

I hope you can solve your problem now ;)
