replaced glass now touch screen not working?

Hi I used the guide here to replace the broken glass on my ipad. I have completed the reassembly apart from clipping the glass into the frame. I tested to see if it was working before clipping it back into one piece..... only to find the ipad powers up fine but the touch screen now isn't working....... can anyone help?

Check again the digitizer cable. Take it out and use "contact spray" on the contact. I always use contact spray on these kind of contacts. Typically inserting the display cable in unibody MacBook Pros I find often the backlight does not work. I take out the cable, use a little contact spray on the contact and cable and insert it and it always works. Make sure the little retaining flaps are pushed down. A good investment is contact spray, technical alcohol and a air spray can. They always come in handy.

Make sure that the 2 white guidelines on the digitizer flex cable are pushed as far as they can be into the connection on the logicboard.

Don't forget to power it off before you start though.
