Cant restore to 4.3.3 Error 3194
Hey,
Ive a problem with my 3gs. Today I got a new iphone from the Apple Store since the previous one had a strange gray frame under the lcd. So when I brought it home and tried to restore it from 4.3.3 to 4.3.3, it just didnt allow me to do it, giving me the error 3194...By now Ive tried everything I guess, DFU, Recovery, Normal mode ofcourse, different usb ports, wires, restarted both pc and the phone... All the same!
Read somewhere about somekind of apple signatures for old firmwares, can it be that? But Im not trying to downgrade!
Please people help!=(
Update
Yes, its still on 433, I forgot to mention that its one of those new 8gigs model. iFaith says Device not supported. I thoght that u can use tools like iFaith and TinyUmbrella only when u re jailbroken. (which i just did with jailbreakme.com
Ive tried removing the line with gs.apple.com in them but no effect.
I need to bypass this stupid 3194 error somehow! Iitunes doesnt even allow me to restore to the official restore not talking about costum...
Can anybody think of smth else, pleeeze!!=
I dont wanna be chained to my pc on 3.4.5 for 2 months!!
Update
Nope, didnt work! At first it looked like I was making some progress, when I used iReb to bypass error 1016 and tinyumbrella to bypass error 3194..., but after itunes rebooted the phone stucked in recovery mode, i couldnt get it out fro it even with tinyumbrella! So I gave up and just restored to 435(
I saved the blob though, so maybe later...
So everyboby thx for help)

Yes, Apple stopped signing 4.3.3 and 4.3.4 a couple of weeks ago. If you don't have your Shsh blobs saved with a utility like TinyUmbrella you will not be able to restore to these firmwares. Does it currently have 4.3.5? If you are on 4.3.3, you can still restore to that by creating a custom IPSW using redsn0w. Try this before you restore the next time. Also download your own 4.3.3 IPSW and then use Shift-Restore and point to the custom firmware.
Step 1. Start –> Programs –> Accessories
Step 2. Run Notepad or WordPad
Step 3. Click “Open..” from File menu.
Step 4. Browse to Windows/System3
Step 5. In "files of type:" select all documents
Step 6. Open "hosts"
Step 7. Delete all line that has "gs.apple.com" or something like that Step 8. Hit Save
Step 9. Restore your device
This will stop iTunes from verifying the restore with Apple. Good Luck.

If your iPhone is still on 4.3.3, you can still restore to 4.3.3 if you use program iFaith. iFaith will save the SHSH of the firmware that is on the iPhone.
You can only Restore to the firmwares you have SHSH for, or the ones Apple is signing. For the iPhone 3GS Apple is still signing Firmware 4.1, you will need to use TinyUmbrella to Exit Recovery after it is done.
Custom Firmwares are created with Pwnage Tool or Sn0wBreeze, but you can only install the Custom Firmware you have SHSH for or that Apple is signing.

U can still restore right from Tiny Umbrella. Just hook up the phone to Tiny Umbrella and select the save SSH option. After you have done that you can restore right from Tiny Umbrella itself without having to go through iTunes. Even you get an error message at the end of the process just ignore that and hit the Exit Recover button and reboot, you will see that you have successfully restored.
Majesty,
Also, one more important thing....After u have saved your shsh blobs for 4.3.3 always make sure you start the "TSS server" on Tiny Umbrella, if not, you won't be able to restore.
