I fried my video card. Can I upgrade the logic board?

History

I have no video output from my Mac Mini after a short in a power point adapter. I can access the Mac Mini via screen sharing over the wireless network from my MacBook. I understand that the video card is integral to the logic board and to replace the video card one must replace the logic board. Can I replace my 1.5 Core Solo with a 2 Core Duo? It appears the parts are interchangeable but I'd like to know if anyone has any experience or advice to offer. Here's a link to the part page I am using as reference

+ nicely stated question

mayer,

I'm on my way back to Oz and everything is in transit. Where are you located? How does the reflowing work?

Yes, the 1.5 GHz Core Solo and 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo logic boards are directly interchangeable!

Awesome thanks!
