We're happy that Apple is finally embracing easy battery repairs. The iPhone 16 trades in brittle, finicky glue with brand-new adhesive technology that can be debonded with an electrical current. Like the pentalobe screw and iMac Opening Wheel before, we’re rising to the challenge by offering the tool to do it: VoltClip.

This USB-C powered alligator clip is capable of delivering the 9-12V required to debond the iPhone 16’s new adhesive when plugged into a USB-C PD source (like our GaN Fast Charger and FixHub Portable Power Station!) Other than the iPhone 16 battery, you can use VoltClip to give a jump to any other smaller battery (RC cars need jump starting too).

Of course, we also have the step-by-step guide to debond the adhesive. And in the meantime, we’re working on getting the full solution—the battery and the adhesive—and we won’t stop until the mission is complete.
