Other Connected Devices
One reason your speaker may not be able to connect to your device, is that it is already connected to another device through the Bluetooth, which may cause issues when trying to pair the speaker to your current device. To fix this you can disconnect the JBL Clip 4 from all other devices you know it is currently paired to. After unpairing the speaker from other devices, try pairing it to your desired device. If your issues persist, then move onto the next possible cause.
Software Glitch
If you are having some trouble connecting or finding the JBL Clip 4 speakers on your Bluetooth device, we would suggest trying to reset your speakers. In order to reset the JBL Clip 4 speakers, first ensure that the JBL speaker is turned on. Then you need to find the Bluetooth and the volume up button. The Bluetooth button can generally be located on the left-hand side of the JBL speaker, below the power button. The volume up button can be found on the front of the speaker and looks like the plus symbol (+). Hold these two buttons down for around ten seconds until the speaker shuts off. Once that is completed, the speaker should be hard reset. Hard resetting will remove the speaker from your device’s Bluetooth history, restart your device, and re-pair the speaker.
Bluetooth Glitch
If you are still having problems connecting to the JBL Clip 4 speakers, you should start by forgetting them in your phone. First, go to Settings, then Bluetooth, and locate the speaker's device name in the My Devices section in Bluetooth. Once you have located the speakers, tap the blue (i) button. This should display device information, and at the bottom, there is a forget this device button. It will prompt you, “Do you want to forget this device?” Press the forget device. Now that you have forgotten the JBL Clip 4, you should be able to reconnect to the speakers. Before trying to reconnect, you need to make sure there are no other devices currently paired with the JBL speakers.
Low Battery Glitch
Sometimes if your device is low charge, the Bluetooth may not be able to properly pair with your device. So you should charge your device for at least an hour, then retry pairing the speaker with your device.
Faulty Motherboard
Sometimes the issue with Bluetooth may be caused through a faulty motherboard since the Bluetooth comes from the motherboard, so you may need to replace it. Which you can do so with the replacement guide found here
