Anker Soundcore Select 3 A3172 Is Not Producing Sound
When attempting to use the Anker Soundcore Select 3 speaker, there is no audio heard after pressing play on the speaker or the connected device.
The Volume Setting is Too Low
Sometimes the speaker’s volume may be at zero. Therefore, turn up the volume on the speaker by hitting the plus button multiple times on top of the speaker. If that does not work, one should try to increase the volume of one’s device, such as a phone or computer, that is connected to the speaker. If neither works, one should proceed to another possible cause listed below.
Device is Not Properly Connected via Bluetooth
If the speaker is not connected properly, audio will not play. To check if one’s device is connected, turn on the speaker and ensure its in pairing mode based on a blinking LED on the top of the speaker. If it is red, the speaker needs to be charged. Within your device that you want to connect, open Bluetooth settings and confirm that the speaker is connected. If it is not connected, select the speaker which should be labelled soundcore Select 3 in the list. If device has been previously connected, try to forget the device by clicking on the speaker option in the Bluetooth settings and selecting forget. Then, repeat the steps to reconnect the device. Once connected, test the audio again.
The Connected Device is Outputting Audio to Another Source
Sometimes audio is routed to a different output (e.g., headphones or another speaker). On your device, open audio output settings and ensure the Soundcore Select 3 is selected as the output device. Disconnect any other Bluetooth or wired audio devices that may interfere. Then, attempt to play the audio again. If this does not work, please proceed to the next possible cause.
The Speaker Needs to Be Reset
A temporary software glitch may affect sound output. To reset the speaker, press and hold the power button and volume + button for 5–10 seconds. Release the buttons and reconnect the device via Bluetooth. Play audio again to check if the issue is resolved.
The Speaker is Malfunctioning
Occasionally, no audio could be the result of an internal issue with the speakers itself. Test the speaker by connecting it to another device. If no sound is outputted, this may confirm a hardware issue is present. The internal components may need repair or replacement.
