ASUS Chromebook CX1400CN Audio Sounds Distorted

Released June 2021 model CX1400CN. When using the chromebook, audio may sound distorted or is not coming through the chromebook at all.

If you are using an external audio device such as headphones or a speaker, make sure it is properly connected to the audio jack and selected as your audio output device in the chromebook's settings. This applies to Bluetooth devices as well.

A website or app may not produce sound even if the sound is unmuted. To fix this go to privacy settings and grant permissions to the apps or website that you are using to allow audio through.

If the audio issues persist even after attempting above fixes, restarting the chromebook might fix it. If it still persists, factory reset your chromebook.
