Causes
If the buttons on the controller do not respond when pressed, a possible cause may be debris build-up that occurs over time in the void areas of the controller.
- Power off the controller and disconnect it.
- Use compressed air to blow around the edges of the affected button.
- Use a soft brush from the iFixit toolkit to loosen debris.
- If necessary, lightly clean the area with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to remove buildup.
- Allow the controller to fully dry up before powering on.
The controller requires constant updating for optimal performance.
- Connect the controller to a PC using a USB cord.
- Download and launch the application ‘Firmware Updater’.
