Introduction
Do your JBL Flip 4 speaker buttons no longer work? Have the buttons stopped responding or stopped lighting up? JBL Flip 4 speakers are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause their buttons to stop working. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.
If your speaker’s buttons continue to not work, the button’s membrane may have been damaged. Button failure can also occur from long-term use. Use the JBL Charge 3 Button Replacement Guide to replace any of the speaker’s buttons.
Sometimes the button switches on your JBL Charge 3 can wear out or get dirt in them causing one or more buttons to not work. Luckily the buttons are easy to clean once the cover is removed.

Because the JBL Flip 4 is sealed very well, it is unlikely any debris would be blocking the buttons. The main cause for unresponsive buttons would be a faulty control board. To access the control board under the buttons, please refer to the JBL Flip 4 Controls Board Replacement Guide. Unlatch the wire that is connected to the circuit board, and then plug it back in. If the lights on the board do not flash, replace the circuit board. If the lights on the board flash, the speaker should be working again.
