Is the needle threader in your Brother CS6000i not threading the needle properly? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

Causes

1

Needle is not inserted all the way, making it not line up correctly with the threader, which would make the thread not go through the hole in the needle.

  • Check to make sure that the flat part of the needle is facing the back, and that you push it as far up as it goes, before tightening it.
2

You are using the wrong needle size. The needle threader can only be used with home sewing machine needles size 75/11 - 100/16. Please see this replacement guide for information on how to replace the sewing needle. (Insert guide here)

  • Check your needle size, as this could be a reason that the needle threader is not threading properly.
  • If using transparent nylon mono-filament thread, you can only use needle in the range of 90/14 - 100/16
3

You are using the needle threader with decorative threads or special needles, such as twin needle and wing needle. When using these needles and threads, you will need to thread the needle by hand.

  • Take out the decorative thread or special needle, replace with the correct needle as described above, or correct thread.
4

The needle threader lever is not able to move or return to its original position, there could be an internal problem.

  • Take apart the sewing machine and make sure the spring is connected properly.
  • Make sure the spring is not broken
