Announced alongside new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pros on the morning of May 7th, 2024, Apple's 6th-generation iPad Air has been refreshed, offering a larger 13" size for the first time. Still available in an 11" size, the new iPad Airs sport the company's M2 SoC, USB-C charging, and support for the new Apple Pencil Pro. The front-facing camera has been moved to the landscape edge and the base storage has been increased from 64 to 128 GB. From this generation, iPad Air cellular model only supports eSIM, not compatible with physical SIM cards anymore.
The 6th-generation 11-inch iPad Air starts at $599. The 13-inch model starts at $799. Both sizes are available in either Blue, Purple, Starlight, or Space Gray.
The 6th-gen iPad Air features an edge-to-edge display and the charging port is USB-C.
