The Huddersfield Repair Cafe is a group of approximately 10 people (always looking for more talented volunteers), who meet up in a central town location at least once a month to help the local community fix their broken things.
We all have different motivations for being involved with our group. These being, but not limited to environmental, repair minded, community spirited or a blend of these and more.
Our self imposed purpose is to fix, maintain, repair, educate people and reduce waste with the amount of seeming unrepairable stuff that modern society produces.
Hopefully inspire more people to not just throw things away just because it doesn't work as it once did. They can bring it along and see if it can be brought back to life and learn something of it on the way.
