My Problem
Noisy left fan in my late 2008 macbook pro.
My Fix
Very smooth! The repair guides are excellent and I only had to buy a better #00 phillips to replace the old one. I didn't want to take the risk to harm the tine screws. Should heave ordered it toghether with the fans though. The right fan was not making much noice (yet) but I replaced it too. There was quit some dust in the cooling parts in the direction of the air from the fans. Cleaned that with a brush and air from a (hand powered) rubber blower from my darkroom.
My Advice
Use the right tools!
