My Problem
Battery was no longer holding charge, MBA indicated battery needs to be replaced
My Fix
I had incorrectly ordered the late 2010 battery, when it turned out I needed the late 2011 instead. Was able to obtain an RMA right away from ifixit and had the correct battery ordered.
The repair itself was simple, followed steps illustrated on the ifixit website and was able to complete the battery replacement in about 20 minutes
My Advice
Be sure touse ifixit website to identify the correct part needed before placing your order. This will save you money and time.
