My Problem
I wanted to take full advantage of my 2012 Mini so I figured I'd load up an SSD and get this puppy moving
My Fix
It was actually pretty painless. I was intimidated at first, but I went through, step by step, kept everything very neat and organized and I pulled it off. There were a couple of moments where my ginormous hands made it a little hard to get in and grab some things in tight places, but I patiently powered through. Upon re-assembly, the original hard drive felt a little out of place, so it took a little shimmying, but I finally got it back together. All in, one hour almost exactly from the time I popped the back off, until I powered it back up.
My Advice
Stay organized, work in a well lit area. My work area was half sheet tray with a big lip and I laid a towel down in it to catch any fleeing eeny teeny screws.
