My Problem
My iPhone 6 battery was not keeping a charge throughout a day, so I ordered a new battery from iFixit.
My Fix
My son installed the battery. He was nervous about taking apart my phone, but I think he was also excited to see the inside of an iphone. One small problem he had was that the magic tabs broke so that it was a little difficult to remove the old battery. The other issue was that he expected that the battery would come with a small charge so that the phone could turn on. However, when he tried to turn it on, it did not turn on. He plugged in the phone and after some time charging, the phone did turn on. This just meant that my son was very nervous for a little while that he had broken my phone. The phone works great now and the battery holds a charge very well.
My Advice
Don't be nervous if the phone doesn't turn on right away before charging. The battery doesn't always come with enough charge to turn the phone on.
